Madeline Leesman, age 20, is a junior journalism and public relations double major from Cincinnati, Ohio. Leesman came to Belmont as a journalism major but later added public relations to become a double major, because she loves writing. “I thought these majors complemented each other, and by adding PR I will have broader options with my degree,” said Leesman. She is on track to graduate in December of 2019 and plans to find work in Nashville after graduation.
Leesman’s extracurriculars include the Belmont chapter of PRSSA, the Belmont Vision and Her Campus Belmont. She also was abroad in Paris during June of 2018 studying fashion, travel writing and intercultural communication. She is pursuing internship opportunities for spring of 2019 to gain professional experience prior to graduation.
